Eric E. Evans plays fingerstyle guitar, sings and performs a wide mix of swing jazz, ragtime, foot stomping blues, honky tonk and americana. He has performed and recorded with the jug band, The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs, the western swing group, The Sidecars, and the jazz group, Get Off Downtown. He has been nominated for two Cincinnati Entertainment awards with The Sidecars and is in the Jugband Hall of Fame with The Dancing Pigs. In the two decades he has been performing around the tristate he has appeared with many of the city's favorite musicians. Eric's solo performance offers a vintage classic repertoire and his influences vary from Jelly Roll Morton, Merle Travis and Hank Williams to Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. The songs he performs span ragtime from the 1890's, New Orleans Jazz, 1920's Piedmont blues, 1940's big band swing and jazz standards, Tangos

and Bossa Nova.

Eric is currently booking solo engagements and plays a wide variety of venues from front porch concerts to backyard patio gigs, to fancy house concerts to beer halls, theaters, intimate dining rooms and cocktail bars. Eric plays primarily acoustic instruments using microphones run through modest sound reinforcement and performances are easily tailored to the venue and audience whether it be uptown classic jazz or down home western swing and classic country.
